Charing Cross Medical™ is a patient-centred family practice in Brantford, Ontario providing comprehensive and personalized care to our rostered patients. We are affiliated with McMaster University and Grand Erie Six Nations Family Medicine Residency Program at Brantford General Hospital.

Charing Cross Medical is part of Brantford Family Health Organization (FHO) and as such provides patients with access to After-Hours Clinic 7 days a week.

 

Meet our staff:

Dr. Ivan Shcherbatykh received his M.D. degree and specialty of a general surgeon from Russia. He obtained a Master of Public Health degree from the State University of New York at Albany, US, and Ph.D. candidate status from McMaster University. He completed a residency in family medicine at McMaster University in 2010 with a special distinction for professionalism. After his residency, Dr. Ivan started practicing in Brantford as a family and part-time ER physician. He worked for a number of years at the Brantford General Hospital ER and Willet Urgent Care.

Dr. Ivan is an active member of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and holds an independent license to practice issued by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Department of Family Medicine at McMaster University.  He is the current Associate Lead Physician for the Brantford Family Health Organization which is the largest FHO in Brantford (2021).
Clinical interests: sports medicine, osteoarthritis and chronic pain management, minor procedures, joint injections with cortisone, viscosupplementation and platelet-rich plasma (PRP), chronic disease and diabetes management, medical teaching.
Life interests: running, triathlon racing, skiing, spending time with his family, and travel.

Dr. Julia Shcherbatykh received her M.D. degree and specialty of Obstetrician and Gynecologist from Russia. She completed a residency in family medicine at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.
Dr. Julia is an active member of the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) and holds an independent license to practice issued by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). She is a head of the Women’s Health Clinic at Charing Cross Medical and enjoys teaching medical students and residents in all aspects of Women’s Health.
Dr. Julia Shcherbatykh is a certified provider of cosmetic and therapeutic Botox injections and dermal fillers.
Clinical interests: Women’s Health, cosmetic treatments, chronic disease management, and patient education.
Life interests: spending time with her family and friends, listening and playing music, dancing, cooking.

Tanya – Nurse Practitioner

Prior to joining the Charing Cross Medical team, Tanya had previously worked as a Nurse Practitioner at the Smithville Medical Center for 10 years providing primary care as well as running the Smoking Cessation and COPD programs. When not at work Tanya is busy chasing her two young children around and making pottery.

 

 


Rhonda McInnes

Rhonda is an Administrative Assistant who brings extensive medical office work experience, professionalism & efficiency to Charing Cross Medical.
Rhonda was born and raised in Brantford, she continues to live in Brantford with her fiancé and their 4 children.
She has been working in the medical field for 8 years and really enjoys it.

 

 

Patricia

Patricia – Clinical Assistant

Trisha works side by side with our physicians and nurse practitioner to assist with physical exams, patient assessments, tests, and procedures. Trisha has been trained and certified in administering vaccinations and other injections, giving flu shots, and doing other delegated office procedures such as ear syringing. Her commitment to patient care and a great sense of humor has been valued by our patients and team members alike.

 

Ashley Mansfield

Ashley is a Medical Receptionist at Charing Cross Medical and Brantford resident, who excels in interpersonal and patient communication skills.

Currently on maternity leave (2020).
